road

I wanted to write about this when I reach office, but totally went off my mind when I reach. only just come across my mine after I pass this same road in a cab.

today is the first time I ride by an accident where a rider is involved and still lying on the road.

I have seen a few, but it’s usually the battled bike or car bang bang, nothing too serious, I hope at least.

so it sort of hit on me how only after riding for a few months, max 4? that my riding style have changed so much, and that riding defensively basically means protecting your own and yourself only. I have not ride or drive in enough country to say this, but I am going to still. Singapore is a country with one of the most number of car to land ratio, and also the highest number of shit drivers to cars on road. by shit, I mean driver who don’t bother to signal, check blind spot or even mirror. they drive like there’s no one else and keep changing lane uselessly in congestion. like they are going to move anywhere.

so I guess my point is, my style of riding have become, I don’t care if you this car don’t like it, but if you drive in a style that can possibly endanger my life, I jolly well make sure you know I am around you, be it horn or loud revving. high beam is useless for shit drivers, and I pretty much get high beamed everyday, simply by riding safe.. if you stop without hazard light, u get a loud rev, just so you don’t swing your stupid door open. if you change lane without signal, you get horn even before getting into my lane, it’s that simple.

yeah. I sorta became a ah Beng rider in a way. but hey, if you don’t protect yourself, no one is going to.. of course, I must pay it back too, when i drive, I am going to do what I preach.
